Continuing Education (CEUs)

The Westchester/Putnam Chapter of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers hosts technical lectures for credit hours in fulfillment of continuing education requirements for licensed professional engineers registered in New York. Chapter Members, along with non-members and guests, are invited to attend the lectures typically held during Chapter meetings on the second Wednesday of the month, in an informal lunch or dinner setting. Attendees are offered the opportunity to earn credits in a relaxed, social environment. One-hour offerings presented by area professionals during the 2005-2006 period included:

Currently, a lecture series is being planned for the September 2006 - June 2007 period. Chapter members, Sponsors of our quarterly newsletter, The Westchester Engineer, and guests are invited to present at one of the Chapter’s gatherings. This is a great opportunity to reach a wide audience of municipal engineers, consulting engineers, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, students and others. Note that lectures must be technical in nature and cannot be marketing oriented to comply with State Education Department requirements. Notwithstanding, presentations serve as a springboard for networking opportunities with area engineers in both the public and private sectors. Further, news of the presentations will be featured in The Westchester Engineer.

For further information on presenting to create a meaningful learning experience for the Westchester/Putnam engineering community, contact Victor G. Carosi, P.E. during business hours via telephone at (914) 939-0753, or via email at vcarosi@ryebrook.org.
